Gibbs had been restricted to domestic games and late game minutes in the past few months but Wenger could not risk Nacho Monreal and Alex Iwobi due to their fitness concerns. Monreal has been the constant in the equation.

KIERAN GIBBS DOESN’T WANT TO LEAVE THE EMIRATES

Arsenal left back, Kieran Gibbs has refused to leave the emirates despite falling behind Nacho Monreal in the pecking order to play left-back for the team.

The English player who joined The Gunners from the Under-18 side of MK Dons played in the under-18 team for Arsenal in the 2004/2005 season. The left back was later sent on loan to Norwich that same season. He returned to the emirates and has been playing since then.
