It seems Yaya Toure would not stay at Etihad Stadium this summer. There have been reports of the player being desperate to part ways with City and his next destination might be France.
Toure was brilliant for Manchester City last season playing in the midfield in an attacking role. He had scored a lot of goals and made sure that the Sky Blues regained the league title which they had lost to United during the 2012-13 Season.
But, a few weeks ago, in one of his interviews, Toure had alleged City of not letting him visit his sibling who was at the last stage of his life.
The City officials have denied that allegation, but, there is no denying of the fact that Toure’s relationship with the League Champions have soured of late.
However, despite all this, Toure was believed not to leave City after having such a great campaign, but, recently, a French magazine has published an interview of one of the players of the Ivory Coast national team. In that interview, that player has been quoted saying that Toure is hurt with the behaviour of the Sky Blues and he is in no mood to keep the association with them.
In the words of that player, “Yaya is not happy with how he has been treated and in all likelihood, he would leave City. He would certainly put in efforts to make sure that he gets transferred.”
That magazine didn’t disclose the name of the player.
The clubs which are believed to be in line to secure Toure’s services are Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool.
Toure has never played in the French league in the past. Before making his way to England in 2010, he had been playing in the Spanish top tier for Barcelona.
